This is a PSA, psychonauts fandom:

Do not support Gygantis or the Psychonauts Rebrained project as they are defending and enabling proshippers and kodocons in their server. If you are in the server and just happen to be working on the project, delete your work on the project, leave the server and block the people encouraging this behaviour, no matter how much Gygantis pleads for you to stay.


Edit: Two friends who wish to be anonymous and I are collecting receipts from the server and various accounts related to the issue and I will have them neatly gathered in the next few hours to a few days, depending on my energy levels and my will to continue looking at the receipts.

Edit 2: I neglected to mention this, so I’m preventively going to say this: please do not reblog, tag or comment on this post with pro-proship sentiment. I don’t want to hear it. Also, please do not send hate to or harrass Gygantis OR the members of the server.

Edit 3: The situation is dying down now that Gygantis has resigned his role as the owner of the server and the project. As usual, do not go and harass anyone implicated in this event.

Realising that the events of Psychonauts 1 + 2 are meant to be set throughout the 20 year timespan between the 60's/70's/80's honestly makes so much sense when you think about the specific aesthetics of the different generations you see coming together throughout the storyline of the games.


It's most evident when we first enter Helmut's mind and help him regain his senses as well as his sense of himself, and in how "dated" the clothes of the first iteration of the Psychonauts appear in contrast to the interns who are evidently styled after the fashions of the 80's era. Even in how different the home bases of the separate generations are, with the Motherlobe being isolated from nature, shiny and sleek while Green Needle Gulch is surrounded by dense forests, well worn and vividly colourful.

whenever anyone says they are “okay with gay people as long as they don’t make it their whole personality” it makes me so sad.

firstly, we should not merely be tolerated. secondly, you’re clearly homophobic and your tolerance extends only so far as your comfortability for that which is different. finally, why should we not make out personality who and what we love? i would rather be defined by my love any day than hatred or indifference.
